    Obituary:

    Services for Edith Dickerson, a retired accounting department employee for The Dallas Morning News, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Funeral Chapel in Dallas. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Dickerson, 69, died of liver and kidney failure Thursday at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.

    She was born in rural Haskell County and moved to Seymour early in her childhood. She attended schools in Seymour and graduated from high school in Wichita Falls.

    During World War II, Mrs. Dickerson moved to Long Beach, Calif., and worked for Bell Telephone. She came to Dallas in 1969 and worked for a furniture company.

    In 1971, Mrs. Dickerson joined the accounting department at The News as a billing verification clerk. She retired in 1987.

    She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Edelman of Glendale, Calif.; and three sisters, Hazel Walker of Dallas, Pat Phillips of Wichita Falls and Joyce Nowell of San Manuel, Ariz.
