Freddie Mac "Fred" and Judy Fuson Cox were married on June 9, 1956, in Carlsbad and together they worked for many years as self- employed businesspeople. Judy had a zest for life and a love of people. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with others but none more than her family. She had many hobbies to keep her busy throughout the years, but nothing brought her the fulfillment that teaching children's Sunday School at First Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member, brought her.

She is survived by daughters: Peggy Cox Hotter and Carol Cox, sister Vicki Schmidt, grandchildren: Michael Hotter, Stephanie Cox, Leslie Hotter and Taylor Halmaker, and 7 great grandchildren including the great granddaughter she raised as her own, Valarie Gonzalez, Brooklyn Petree, Xavier Petree, Toni Hotter and Bailey Hotter.
