Born to Cecil Glynn Randle and Lillian Irene Randle in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Glynn retired from Reynolds Metals Corporation after 42 years of employment.

Glynn and his younger sister, Lillian Irene Randle, later Smith, 85, of Corpus Christi who survives him began their school years in Lake Charles.
