| 2261 | Obituary: Kenneth "Ken" Lloyd Coon, Sr. of Hot Springs, AR October 14, 1935 - December 8, 2022 Dr. Kenneth Lloyd "Ken" Coon, Sr., age 87 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Mountain View, Arkansas, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2022, at his home. Coon was a member of the School Avenue Church of Christ, of Mountain View, Arkansas, a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He was married to Sue Coon and had two children, Catherine and Ken, Jr. Ken had a successful membership in the Arkansas Jaycees where he served in a number of positions at both the local and state level. He was president of the organization in 1971-72 when he was named one of the five outstanding state presidents in the nation. He touched many lives through his Jaycee service and commonly had people tell him of his positive impact on their lives. Ken Coon made a major contribution to the establishment of the two-party system in Arkansas. He worked tirelessly for some twenty years to build the Republican party. He ran for office three times - Governor in 1974, Lt. Governor in 1972 and Congress in 1996. Although he was not a victor in these races, he understood that the Arkansas GOP would have to run credible candidates repeatedly, build gradually up to a 51% vote until it could win consistently. Ken understood the nature of this challenge and was willing to sacrifice in the short run for the success of a two-party state in the long run. In addition, to his public office races, he also served in numerous party offices. He was the hired Executive Director from 1972-1976; was a County Chairman, District Chairman, and, finally, State Chairman from 1988-1990. Ken was one of the key players in building the modern Republican Party in Arkansas. As a Psychologist and Counselor, Coon built a successful management consulting practice serving businesses in Central Arkansas. He offered consulting, training and counseling services to CEO's and owners of both small and large businesses alike. As a Professor at Webster University, he taught Human Resource Development and was a pioneer in Arkansas for new methods of improving the effectiveness of individuals, teams and organizations. As an Executive Coach, he quietly helped several of Arkansas' prominent families and corporations to achieve their goals and grow their businesses to the next generation. When not busy in business and civic endeavors, Coon spent time developing his farm to benefit his family. Dr. Coon was a builder. He sought to improve whatever entity in which he was involved whether it was his family, his business, client's business or civic organizations. Many individuals and organizations are better because he passed their way. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway followed by Funeral Services at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the School Avenue Church of Christ, 213 School Avenue, Mountain View, Arkansas, followed by a graveside service at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Indian Village Cemetery south of Calhoun, Louisiana. | 2293 | Obituary: Kyle Randall Lemings January 22, 1981 - July 15, 2019 Kyle Randall Lemings, 38, of Hughson, passed away Monday the 15th of July 2019. Kyle was an amazing husband to his wife and high school sweetheart of 21 years, Emily. Kyle was a wonderful father to his twin children Jackson and Avery (7). Kyle spent time with both Jackson and Avery teaching them to fish, hunt and play sports. Kyle loved fishing from a young age and spent a great deal of time with his grandfather, Harold Thompson, learning how to be the "Best" fisherman around, and arguably succeeded. Kyle took his family on trips hunting and fishing because he loved spending time with them and enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with them. Kyle was well known in the almond industry for his work at Cunningham Ranch, Inc. over the last 15 years. Kyle had a reputation for great quality work, honesty and fairness. He took great pride and craftsmanship in his trade and, as always, strived to be the very best at what he did. He learned this trade from his father-in-law Dick Cunningham and worked closely with Dick to improve the facilities and orchards. Kyle was the best friend a person could have and would do anything to help his friends. Kyle was preceded in death by his Father Randall Dean Lemings and is survived by his mother, Sandra Lemings, his twin sister, Tiffany Ulrich (Troy) and her children Tyler and Taylor, his brother Caleb Lemings (Brittany) and grandfather Harold Thompson (Betty). Emily's family loved and supported Kyle as well. Father-in-law Dick Cunningham (Bertie), brother-in-law Michael Paul, sister-in-law Sarah, niece Kaylie, grandfather Ham Cunningham (Mary), mother-in-law Patti Anderson (Dave), and grandparents Coke and Billie Ramos. Kyle had many great friendships and family members that supported and loved him. Kyle will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Kyle's family would like to thank the staff at Doctors Hospital in the NICU department for their wonderful care of Kyle while he was there. Thanks also go to the amazing nurses at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson for the time they spent taking great care of Kyle. There will be a Celebration of Life for Kyle to be held on Wednesday July 24 at 11:00 AM at the Rogers Family Hall at St. Anthony's church, 7820 Fox Road Hughson (Published by Lakewood Funeral Home of Hughson, CA) | Lemings, Kyle Randall (I10058)

A Memorial Service will begin at 2 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at First Christian Church, 900 South Ennis Street, Bryan, Texas 77803. Kyle loved the spirit of his hometown sports team of Texas A&M University. He enjoyed simple living, no drama, just fantasy football in many, and we mean many, different football leagues. Kyle also loved music, his favorite band to listen to was Blackberry Smoke. Kyle's claim to fame was that Kyle Field was named after him, and shared that with his co-workers when he was on the field crew in his earlier days with TAMU. His dream was to retire, move to Punta Gorda, Florida with his mother, and become a rockstar. He passed his love for music and all things sports onto his son, Cameron Ogden, who continues to honor his father's legacy in everything he does. His father E.J Ogden precedes him in death. Kyle is survived by his only son, the joy of his life, Cameron and wife Heather Ogden; his mother, Hazel Ogden; his grand dogs, Oso and Rosie; his long life friends from childhood days running around the neighborhood, Eric Angonia, Danny Harvell, and Mike Foster; special friend, Tina Elbrich; and the mother of his son, and life friend, Shana Ogden.
